Welcome to the Leatherstocking Sheep Dog Trials!
August 17, 18 & 19, 2012
The Leatherstocking Sheepdog Trial is sanctioned by both the North East Border Collie Association (NEBCA) and the United States Border Collie Handler's Association, Inc. (USBCHA).
The Sheepdog Trial is a competitive dog sport in which a dog moves sheep around a field, through gates, and into enclosures as directed by their handler.
The workmanship between dog and handler, and the ever unpredictable sheep, make for a fascinating sport to watch.
Mark your calendar for the 2012 17th Annual Leatherstocking Sheepdog Trial
held on the Robert F. Clark field off Beaver Meadow Road.
